Fr. Slavko Barbaric was parish priest at Medjugorje for 16 years. He was behind the creation of the well-known "evening program" as it has become known with the inclusion of Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, the Holy Rosary and Veneration of the Cross. Fr. Slavko's many books have been translated in 20 languages and have sold more than 20 million copies wordwide. Fr. Slavko died on November 24, 2000 at 3.30 p.m. after leading the parishioners on the Way of the Cross up Mt. Krizevac.
